Spring Fling!

Craft Candy are proud to present their 1st annual Spring Fling Craft Fair!

Spring Fling is an exciting new addition to Sheffield’s contemporary craft scene, showcasing some of the best art and craft this city has to offer. Spring Fling features craftspeople from Sheffield and beyond including local artists and makers from Bank Street Arts and Persistence Works.

More than your average craft fair, Spring Fling brings together the cream of crafters with a variety of products inspired by quality and originality. From artwork and jewellery to handmade textiles and toys, there is no limit to the creativity on offer.

Spring Fling will be held at the Workstation, next to the Showroom cinema, on 28th March 09 from 10am to 4pm.

We love Knitta! It appeals to our sense of the absurdly irreverent. Hurrah for these people, making the world a slightly fluffier place.

“Sheffield Vintage is an exciting new fashion fair at DQ in Sheffield. The venue is huge and will be crammed with stalls of cheap vintage fashion , reworks and eco clothing, cool jewellery and yummy sweets and cakes all from local designers and businesses. Our last fair was a HUGE success with over 1300 visitors coming to bag a bargain!

Our Christmas fair is going to be extra special with a Christmas theme and festive treats for all. It’ll be a lovely, WARM way to Christmas shop for presents or those perfect party outfits!

We have 40 stalls of low price Mens & Womens vintage clothing and accessories (we will adding a lot more mens vintage to this fair). We’ll also have cupcakes and chocolates from local artisans, all sorts of jewellery from genuine pearls & dazzling costume jewellery to silver cutlery jewellery, reworked & eco clothing, loads of christmas gift ideas & handmade christmas cards. [And not forgetting, SOCK MONSTERS, of course!]

Festive cocktails will be on offer from the bar and we’ll have plenty of xmas nibbles to eat

Don’t worry, it looks worse than it was. Rest assured that the sock-dog was unharmed, Spinosaurus severely punished, and T-Rex made to sit on the stairs for five minutes for encouraging the naughtiness. “We only meant it as a joke” indeed…

There are holes appearing in my CD collection. I wondered if I had Music Moths, but last night I caught the culprit. Here he is in the full glare of the flashbulb. Grr.

This greedy little sock monster has now been secured, and is in need of a new home. In this house, there are some things you just don’t mess with. With the right care, I’m sure his appetite could be managed.
